BREAKING NEWS: 5 MEMBERS OF LOCAL GANG FOUND SLAUGHTERED!
General Information of the Uragiri
The Uragiri are a tight knit group of street samurais that are all for one another, often times defending their own no matter the consequences. They trust one another with their lives, and the captured members of the group will rarely give out any information. The group all have an identical tattoo on their lower back, which is a tattoo of a single katana with a skull. They focus on a mix of various crafts, and most of all, they do whatever it takes to win in battles, often throwing out the “honor” aspect of samurais. The Uragiri do not follow an honor code, they never have, and they never will. The group often act as mercenaries when open to the public eye, generally doing whatever is needed for payment. Want a job done without any questions asked? The Uragiri are the gang to go to.
Generally speaking, the Uragiri are a vast network of different families of street samurais. They are almost all over Japan, many different families all operating alongside one another, aiding those who need it and giving information to one another. Most members are taken in at a young age, and raised to be expert fighters, this also engrains their loyalty into their mind, allowing the family to manipulate and bend members trust to how they see fit. The ringleaders of the family are often times very open about their involvement, and are to be feared for a good reason. Ringleaders in the Uragiri are generally augmented to the extreme, and are extremely dangerous, and unpredictable. Taking down a ringleader is a rare thing, for a good reason.
The Crafts
The crafts of the Uragiri are pretty common ones, the group dabbling in human trafficking, drug manfacturing and bladesmithing. The gang is generally very skilled in these crafts, and often devote most of their day to these crafts, honing their skills as much as they can. Any blade you can think of? A member of this gang can likely make it, so long as they are given the appropriate amount of credits and materials. They are often big time drug dealers as well, peddling whatever they can get their hands on, not caring for the effects on those who use the drugs they peddle.
The Fighting Style
The Uragiri are natural born fighters, oftentimes being taken into the gang at a young age, and being raised to fight without remorse or mercy. They train vigorously with their blades, these styles varying depending on the person. Taking down a Uragiri member will generally be no easy feat, as they study and perfect their style with the blades they find themselves using. They are even known to coat their blades with potent poison, relying on it to whittle away at their opponents moral and general wellbeing as they fight to the death. It’s rare to see a Uragiri member showing mercy, or any semblance of honor while fighting, as they utilize cheap tactics, and generally frowned upon blows to utterly destroy their opponent.
