Augmentations are usually either self-installed with the proper tools, or, installed by a MEDTECH, RipperDoc, or some sort of individual with the know-how to do so.
The process for installing an Augmentation Kit to a person's body involves invasive surgical procedures, as well as partially-automated processes using Foglettes.
