Anglo-American War
Summary
The Anglo-American War (also known as the British-American War, The Second Revolutionary War (USA), or the War of Reclamation (KOB) was a war fought between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Britannia. It is currently recorded as the deadliest war to-date, with an estimated fatality count of 110-115 million, resulting in the deaths of approximately one out of every five Americans. Deaths are mostly attributed to supply cutoff to and from cities in the continental east, usually either by starvation or disease.
History
The Anglo-American War was incited by the capitulation of the United States government to the Second Civil Rights Movement when, in 2011, race-based segregation was declared federally illegal in the United States. In Britannia, this act caused a "great terror among the government" according to inside sources. The British state, fearing that the highly industrialized world power would attempt to stir race rebellion in the Kingdom's many colonies after a takeover by the marginalized, began to level sanctions and diplomatic barriers against the United States.
2012
Diplomatic aggression did not cause any effect on American morale, and the Americans proceeded to launch a crusade against systemic injustices in law, and national bigotry. Potential war with the Kingdom of Britannia was a contentious issue in the 2012 Presidential elections.
2013
The United States begins secretive emergency preparation for war with the Kingdom of Britannia, including the manufacture and dispersal of weaponry via remote military bases or funneling to civilian militias, especially in Appalachia. Defensive measures were built on the east coast of the United States, including a system of anti-aircraft weapons known informally as the Flyswatter.
Nuclear Exchange
The exchange of nuclear weapons between the countries occurred on January 2nd, 2014. The Kingdom of Britannia was the first to launch, firing an ICBM directly at the USA city of Boston. The missile was shot down mid-air, and nobody was harmed. Alongside the bomb, the Supreme Leader of Britannia delivered an ultimatum which stated (paraphrase by the President of the United States) Return to your old ways of hate, or be annihilated.
Within one hour, the United States responded to the attack through an ICBM launch of their own, which detonated at sea off the coast of Southeast England, alongside a handwritten letter to the Supreme Leader of Britannia, from the President. Try and fire off another, and we'll aim one degree to the west.
