In addition to being one of the most popular MOBAs in the world, MOBA is also used to refer to the type of multiplayer matches that use this specific game type. There's really only three categories of builds - support, tank and damage.

But if Riot wanted to make something permanent, they would be going about it the wrong way. It's actually a matter of understanding his build and how to handle his champions.

Tank is an example of a support that can make some use of tank items but is not overly reliant on them. Whether it's a MOBA, a MMORPG, or a battle royale, the LoL engine has the unique ability to support all three genres in one game.
