Player Character

Summary

A Player Character (Playable Character, PC, or simply Character) is a character within the Chromed-Out universe that is directly controlled by a user. Player characters come in many shapes and sizes, varying in origins, occupation, age, wealth, etc.

Types of Playable Characters

• Humans
• Augmented humans
• Transhumans
  • A human entirely filled with internal replacements. Transhumans still have a biological brain, and said brain may potentially be modified.
• Semi-synthetic humans
  • A human with a synthetic brain, in a biological, but manufactured body.
• Synthetic humans
  • Entirely manufactured and non-biological. Usually indistinguishable from a biological human.
• Androids
  • Noticeably non-human/non-humanoid. Uses a manufactured brain or CPU running SoulOS.
• Artificial Intelligence
  • Artificial Intelligences may exist on appliances, in a human's Neural Stack, or independently within the SprawlNet.
• Exotics.
  • Synth-Exotic, or Bio-Exotic, depending on material and implementation.
