Greenland is the largest island on Earth, followed by Australia. For most of its history, Greenland has been a territory and constituent nation of Denmark, but following the The Blaze it has become a focal point of territorial disputes, and contains the most hostile border in the world, surpassing the Korean DMZ. Currently, the island is administrated by two occupation zones, the Soviet occupation zone in the north, and the British occupation zone in the south. The Kalmar Union also lays claim to Greenland, and this is the claim supported by the Soviet Union, as the Kalmar government has officially handed over large swathes of north Greenland to the Soviet Union, in exchange for Soviet military assistance in the area.

Greenland has one of the fastest growing populations of any region, and is currently the subject of rapid urbanization, mostly due to rapid global warming quickly making the island, particularly its western coast, a very habitable place to live. This population growth is further accelerated by Icelandic refugees fleeing from British and Fellsskogar occupation.

Claims

The Kalmar Union's claim is largely considered the most valid claim by non-British sources, and this is the claim supported by the Soviet Union. The Kalmar government has officially handed over large swathes of north Greenland to the Soviet Union, to be given up when the British are removed, in exchange for Soviet military assistance in the area at the current time.

The Arctic Federation also lays claim to Greenland, citing that Native Americans have lived both in North Canada, and on Greenland for many thousands of years.
