Description
The Republic of Dixie is a far-right white nationalist republic located in North America, located directly above Florida, southeast of the continent. Born of the former United States of America, it is a military superpower in the region, with exception to Cascadia and rivaled by Texas.

Politics
Dixie is a socially far-right, economically varied, authoritarian country. The ethno-nationalists of Dixie are not a monolith, and many factions fight for control over the country, sometimes violently. The voting population of Dixie is largely split into three main groups: The rural poor, who have long been the face of the region, and the inevitable punchline of its jokes. Urban working class, mostly children of immigrants from western Europe and the North during the southern economic rise of the 2000s, and the urban middle class, the more sanitary product of the former. Political groups flounder to try and capture their share of each, but marketing yourself to all at once is a difficult task.

Political Groups
Pan-Europeanism
Pan-Europeanism, based on the teachings and ideology of American Neo-Nazi Richard Spencer, and represented by the Identitarian Union Party, is a internationalist form of white-supremacist ideology. Pan-Europeanists see Dixie as the fabled 'White Homeland', and see protection of the white race in all nations as a key priority. Religion in Pan-Europeanism is an incredibly varied subject, as faith among Pan-Europeanists can range from devout Christians, to anti-theists, and neo-pagans. Pan-Europeanism is the current ruling party of Dixie, in a close battle with Neo-Confederalism.

Neo-Confederalism
Neo-Confederalism is a white-supremacist, usually Christian political group that focuses on restoration of the Confederate States of America. The Neo-Confederate cause is currently represented by the American Old Guard Party. Neo-Confederalists were the most prevalent group during the founding of Dixie, but since the nation has found stability after the Balkanization, it has become far less popular, especially due to the power of the State of Texas being a great inhibitor to the dreams of restoring the Confederacy. Neo-Confederalism is the official ideology of the Ku Klux Klan.

Christian Fundamentalism
Christian Fundamentalism is a religiously-motivated political group that focuses on the transformation of Dixie into a country governed entirely by conservative readings of the Christian Bible. The cause is represented by the Christian Party, and has almost always opposed Pan-Europeanists in elections and social issues. The group has been on a downward spiral since the beginning of the Blaze of Christ in 2080, but has historically held a strong third- or second, place in races.

Rivalry with Texas
The Republic of Dixie has been in a constant stare-down with the State of Texas since 2064, with the American Old Guard-led Dixan government publicly stating that Texas was a As of yet ungoverned territory of [Dixie], guaranteed to the Republic during the enactment of our grand Conference those six years ago.. Specifically, Old Guard politicians argued that the order to dissolve the United States of America guaranteed Dixie all land from the Confederate States of America. This claim is blatantly false, and refuted by Texas.

The rivalry with Texas comes both from the desire to resolve a land dispute, and from an ideological standpoint. Dixans view Texas as a 'lost brother', which has been led astray by the technocratic SprawlStates, and Dixan politicians and priests will frequently offer their prayers to the people of Texas, seeing them as prisoners in their own land, held back by technologically-enhanced demons and devils.

Many things have kept Dixie from outright invading her western neighbor, not the least of which is concerns over its preparedness for a war with the Kingdom of Britannia, and whether or not it should utilize resources to invade Texas, when a much stronger threat looms on the horizon. Another reason is fear by Dixan military officials that soldiers would be frightened by the relative inhumanity of agents from Texas-based Armatech. As such, concerted efforts have been made by the Dixie government to breed technophobia into the hearts and minds of its citizens, and its efforts haven't been for nought. Silver Snowflakes, a song about fighting a cyberpsycho, and then disposing of the body in a woodchipper, has become a unanimous song for those learning guitar and banjo, similar to its predecessors like Smoke on the Water, and Wonderwall.

Blaze of Christ
The Blaze of Christ was a number of insurrectionary movements (sometimes referred to as a civil war, especially by those sympathetic to the insurrectionary cause) in southwestern Alabama lasting from 2080 to 2085, sparked by the 2062 purges by the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK collaborated with various right-wing atheist and hate groups during these purges, using them as local guides to locate black resistance groups, LGBTQ gatherings, and other "undesirables".

Several years later, in 2080, a group of Christian fundamentalists sent a suicide bomber, Edward Buck, to the hall of the Imperial KKK, in Mobile, delivering a manifesto detesting the Klan's former cooperation with secular hate groups at the same time the bomb was detonated, killing 21, and injuring 92 in this headquarters of the Imperial KKK.

After the rising of the Fundamentalists in KKK-Controlled south Alabama, many megachurches going against the rule of the KKK were pelted by microbombs flown by drones, which were piloted by members of the League of the South, an anti-theist neo-confederate hate group. The League of the South claimed, in a message to the leader of the Church of the Highlands, the main megachurch fighting against the Ku Klux Klan, that the League was in possession of a small nuclear bomb, and was ready and willing to detonate it on Dixie soil, specifically, the base or operations of any Fundamentalist movement. Zac Hodges, senior pastor of the Church of the Highlands, instead took bait information that were attached to the notice, and sent a group of assassins to the location, an IHOP in Montgomery

The Sunday after a Highlands assassin team crashed into the IHOP, in 2083, the League of the South crashed an old DJI Phantom drone through a stained glass window in one of the denominations of the Church of the Highlands. This drone was carrying a payload, a homemade uranium bomb. Once it impacted the floor, the church and its surrounding buildings went up in smoke. Bodycount is estimated at approximately 500 dead, and 3,000 injured.

After this attack on the church, the government of Dixie would launch a ruthless assault against the League of the South, killing 137 people in suspicion of being a member of the League. This was suspected to have eliminated the League of the South. The government would then begin a crackdown on the fundamentalist groups, the Pan-European government of the time being ruthless in prosecution of the fundamentalist rebels.

Battling against the Fundamentalist forces would continue for another 2 years, though somewhat more relaxed and considerate, hoping not to raise tensions to nuclear levels once again. On January 4th, 2085, the Church at Brook Hills finally declared surrender on behalf of the Fundamentalist movement, the subsequent fallout from which tanked the membership of the

Mississippi Creole
Mississippi Creole, is an english-derived Creole Language localized within southwest to central Dixie. Mississippi Creole is an evolution on the accent present in many residents of the Southern United States for much of history. The language has its origins in the American racial reforms of the 2010s, when the southeast region of the country, the only region to retain policies repealed in these reforms, was left angered by the federal government meddling in the affairs of the region. These attitudes led to an increasing hostility towards outsiders, and isolation from the rest of the country. One such result was the continuous deepening of the southern accent into Mississippi Creole. By 2043, Mississippi Creole was a recognized language, with slightly over 4,000 speakers, and became the native language of a majority of Dixans by 2079.

English is still an official language in Dixie, and most official government documents and correspondences are done in English. Dixans will commonly have two names: A Mississippi Creole name, given at birth, and an English name, given at birth, or chosen in the early teens, though their use is rare by politicians or popular figures outside of the Neo-Confederate sphere.
