The Transsonora Territories is a collection of desert territories in far northern Mexico, encompassing the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, and Nuevo Leon. Transsonora was abandoned by the [[Mexico||Mexican]] government in 2043, after 8 years of attempting to fight the wildfires in the region came close to making the government bankrupt. As a solution, the Mexican government forced the states to secede, and then proceeded to create a state-owned corporation to manage the territories and lease it to tenants. Currently, a majority of the area is overseen by the [[Ironcore Metals Company]].
