Description
The United States of America (US), also known as the United States, was a democratic republic of 50 provinces, called states, a federal district, 5 distinct territories and various possessions. The executive leader of the nation was given the title of President. At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2), it was the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area. Said nation was an ethnically and ideologically diverse nation, forming the basis of how certain postmodern nations would run for the next one hundred years or so. The United States of America was the worlds leading force in almost every way. This included but was not limited to scientific development, research, politics and culture. Particularly in the defense sector as a third of its annual taxes went to its own self defense.
Collapse of the Republic
In its defense of the invading British Empire, the Balkanization of The United States occurs, some landlocked and others in worse states than they should be. The creation of these new territories was dubbed Formation Day.
