Summary

The Great Kingdom of Britannia (Or GKOB, as it's colloquially called,) refers to the current state of Britain, in Chromed Out. Britannia's main lands spans both England, as well as Ireland. The Great Kingdom of Britannia, is currently a fascist dictatorship, that has both a royal family, as well as a Supreme Leader. The Great Kingdom of Britannia, in terms of Chromed Out's storyline lore, serves as the major antagonist, in all conflicts in the western hemisphere.

History

The original bringer of western civilization to the isle of Britain would have been the Roman Empire. However, the nationality of the nation we know today would not have come to pass until 927 CE, and furthermore until 1922 when the Acts of Union came to pass. After World War I and II, Britain would never have surrendered its lands, its colonialism brought about into full view after the Japanese had surrendered after the first Nuclear Weapons were used.

Involvement in Africa

Seeing to its vast oceanic empire, it would have become the third player in the global stalemate that was the Cold War, forcing interesting policing actions into Africa, India and by both the United States of America and the USSR to not just stop the monarchy and uphold communism or capitalism but for their own reasons. This would inadvertently given rise to the Ethiopian Empire as Africa's own superpower. Today, client states still exist in Africa such as Rhodesia with Britain still laying claim to most of Africa. Britain remains at war or involved in a proxy war with almost all nations within Africa save for the client nations it already has on its side. The situation remains hopeful as Ethiopia appears to be winning back land its invader had taken from its home continent.

Involvement in India

The British Raj still exists, with the crown having direct rule in India to this day. The size of rule in India resembles modern India to this day as Pakistan had seceded from the state. India plays a key role in resource gathering, as well as the various Sihk and Punjabi regiments that are raised there. India serves as the eastern proxy of the Crown and serves the role of policing, influencing and swaying all matters of things to the side of the British. As of recent, India has more become the one place where British forces are best off being stationed in the case of contention of the Indian Ocean and the islands of Indonesia by the Triumvirate, China, Japan, or other forces; one contest the nation's naval history will not take lightly.

Involvement in Australia

Following the Collapse of Australia, British forces had left the continent alone. The rapid desertification and wildfire rate left Australia to decide that it would cost too much to maintain any worthy supply lines save for the Victorian area.

Involvement in Oceania

Britain still holds sway over various islands in the Pacific, though that control is now entirely up to its residents now. Largely abandoned due to its tactical loss of Australia, whatever loyalist forces remain are there as policing units and not as defense and occupational ones. If one so willed, one could take that territory away as it appears the British will flee upon first contact.

Scotland and Ireland

Scotland and Ireland are fully incorporated into the nation, spare terrorism by the Provisional Irish Republican Army and associated groups. Scotland has largely been able to be treated as equals, as most of its identity still exists and seemingly cosmetic honors still remain, such as the keeping of The Atholl Highlanders and the Dragoons.

Canada

During the American British War, Canada had been forced into annexation by the United States of America to defend from the British Empire. The following balkanization had left some parts of Canada in British hands, particularly Newfoundland.
