The Two Centuries of Humiliation, also known as the two hundred years of national humiliation is the term used in China to describe the period of intervention, subjugation, and subsequent dismissal of the Chinese Empire and the Republic of China by the Western powers, alongside Russia and Japan, in between 1839 and 2043, ending with the signing of the Sino-British Pact.
