Description

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or colloquially known as North Korea, is a totalitarian dictatorship overseen by the Kim Dynasty, and governed by the principles of Juche, a derivitation of communism. For a small SSR wedged between three anti-communist states, North Korea not only holds one of the most incredible political positions in the East Asian geopolitical situation, but also one of the strongest consumer electronics and netrunner bases in the world.

The Korean War and Sovreignty

The Korean War ended in a truce, the Korean Armistice Agreement, with both capitalist and communist states declaring dual sovereignty. North Korea had a significant advantage to give to the USSR, and an advantage to itself to bolster its economy under Premier Kim Il-Sung. The first Kim lead the country into relative advancement over its neighbor, backed by the then neglectful NATO. North Korea was heavily based upon its incredible propaganda machine, endlessly spewing party approved information to the masses, to the dismay of many. However, many loyalists stayed loyal despite the constant cacophony.
