North America is a continent on Earth that belongs in the northern hemisphere, west of the prime meridian.
Recent History
Despite being the seat of, debatably, the most powerful nation to ever exist, North America had taken a strong downturn after the Year of The Blaze in 2035, as fires rampaged across the southwestern brush, and caused major havoc in the relatively cushioned United States. Now, what was once a continent split mainly between Mexico, the United States, and Canada (debatably an American puppet), is now a Picasso painting of failed states and squabbling fiefdoms.
The Balkanization of The United States and the Canadian Division are processes that took years, but occurred far more quickly than anyone expected. Beginning with the secession of the Pacific States of Cascadia from the United States, the U.S. government would hold the Symposium on Secession only three years later, leading to the official dissolution of the United States.
